What Shall We Do Today?
I am on leave for a fortnight. I have a few options for things that I can do while my wife is looking after her 95 year old grandmother:
1. Watch TV.
2. Play on the internet. Again.
3. Go Geocaching.
4. Go take the engine out of the dented Mini I have in the garage.
As we had a huge thunderstorm overnight and the threat of rain again today, option 3 is, unfortunately no a likely candidate. Maybe tomorrow. Already done enough of 1 and 2 this week.
So, it’s time to take the engine out! W00t! (sorry!)
The car is an H Reg City that a friend reversed into a tree at some considerable speed. He was told by his mother “more it by Wednesday or it gets scrapped”. Tuesday night it was in my garage. Since I received it the seats have found a new home in my car, a member of the Mini club wants the doors and another member wants the dented shell.
I get to keep the engine (a peach of a 1275 unit), either to replace the dead one (temporarily) in my Cooper or as an upgrade for Lily.
I’ll get some pictures and tell a little more of the story later on.
