Classic cars aren’t usually considered ideal for road trips. Vintage machines can often be finicky, most often relegated to weekend joyrides, not long-distance travel. The driver of this Rover Mini Cooper, however, doesn’t subscribe to the normal attitude of classic car ownership.
Sergiu Topala lives in Moldova, an eastern European country between Romania and Ukraine. Topala is a die-hard Mini guy. But due to his location, he doesn’t have any clubs nearby to share his passion. That hasn’t stopped the lonely Mini owner, however—he’s driven to the far reaches of Europe just to enjoy his car with like-minded Mini maniacs.
