Traditionally, the yearly Mini Festival at Oulton Park near Liverpool is bathed in sunshine. Its customary for most fans to return from the event suffering from sunburn and dehydration. However, this year the famous track was attacked all day by fierce winds and sudden showers.
This didn’t just make taking pictures or watching races difficult. On more occasions than could be counted, Minis of all ages were spinning or sliding off the track taking out barriers and each other. That’s not good news for the long-suffering pit crews but it made for exciting racing!
