BMW has announced that it will continue innovation and development of the MINI brand using only BMW group components.  Whilst this may seem a rather dull and uninteresting statement, in reality it confirms collaboration with Fiat on developing a joint platform for the MINI and either the 500 or the Punto has now ended.
