The Itch
You get the itch right? It’s the itch where you really want to get your teeth stuck into a project Mini and you have all those ideas that you want to implement. Yes, that itch. I have the itch.
I want to do something different. There’s the possibility of a Clubman shell winging its way to me for very little cost. It will simply be a rolling shell and I know there’s lots that need to be done to it.
I have a few options:
1. Restore it to standard. But lots of people do this. I also have the Cooper which is basically staying standard. Even to the points that the original seats are going back in.
2. Shorty it. I have always wanted a shorty. In case you don’t know, this is a shorty:
3. Roadster it. That’s where you cut the roof off and turn it into a two seater:
3. Hot rod it. This is my favoured option at the moment. Having seen Wayne’s rodded Elf on the P&S website (and below) I am really tempted to do something similar. This will leave all four seats in place. And yes, I would paint it the same matt black and do the suicide doors.
So, which do you think I should do? Or should I do something entirely different? Let me know. It’s your chance to shape the MMM project. Whatever I end up doing, the only constant is that the roof will come off.
EDIT: I have put a new poll in the sidebar for if you want to vote without commenting. A comment with opinions and ideas would be much appreciated though!

that rod is so cool, although the shorty would probably be a blast to drive, i think the matte rod would be coolest.
